Seattle does a lot of things well, but red carpets are clearly not one of them. Last time I was at a SIFF red carpet event a metro bus pulled up and let passengers off directly on to the red carpet.

There's a film in the works about the Capitol Hill Massacre from filmmaker Jagger Gravning.

A painting leads childhood friends to recall hidden memories.
A project for DX Arts 452, Spring 2011
ASSIGNMENT: CHAIN REACTION
Students may construct teams of films that while individual play combined as a chain
reaction.
CONCEPT
Group members used a common premise of childhood trauma to create films under a common thread. The anchoring story being that of an accident gone wrong as a girl playing hide and seek with her friends is killed in a car accident. I chose to depict the surviving children as young adults, recollecting the present while in the near future.
FUN FACT
Anna's name is derived from the main character of the 1960 film L'avventura, who goes missing part way into the film and whose disappearance serves as a catalyst for later events but is never itself resolved.
