SIFF 2011

Great SIFF (Seattle International Film Festival) coverage from Nancy Guppy at the Seattle Channel.  Much better than any other SIFF coverage I've seen, and definitely better than the lackluster effort SIFF itself is making at SiffTV.  I really with they'd just hire me for the duration of the festival and set me loose to pump out as many videos as I could.  That would be a dream gig!

Honestly though, I'm surprised that for a festival that prides itself on being "for the average viewer" they're not making a bigger effort to reach out via web-video.   Maybe next year, eh SIFF?

Boeing gets in to Web Video

Reel SEO has a post on how even a company like Boeing, who doesn't really market much directly to consumers, is moving into the web video space.

Boeing is a fantastic example of how any company of any size, and in any industry, can leverage online video to connect with consumers.

That’s pretty freaking interesting to me. They’ve created their own “news report” video, mimicking the pacing and editing of a 60 Minutes-style piece. That’s actually a great idea. It subconsciously makes the viewer feel more like their watching an objective piece than a commercial, which should help them absorb the content better.

Mad Rad at Sasquatch

Didn't make it out to Sasquatch this past weekend 'cause I was sitting here at the office working on videos for Storm Opening Night (which I am still doing, by the way)... but at least I can live vicariously through this video of Mad Rad by Gray Matter Productions
