My personal blog where I'll post new videos, videography tips, and whatever else I decide is worth posting.

A blog about videos shot in, set in, or about Seattle.

Seattle on Screen

A currated selection of Seattle-centric web videos.  There's a lot of good web video coming out of Seattle, if you know where to look.

Lumberjacks Live in the Northwest

This is basically just raw footage, but it's worth a watch.

Lumberjacks live in the Northwest from Ron Hansen on Vimeo.

A shot of Peter Gruenwoldt from Seattle's Tree Cycle, working on a 100' Elm. The wood salvaged from this tree will be turned into some amazing live-edge furniture by a team of artists and craftsman at Urban Hardwoods. If you can wait 3 years, you could own a table that once overlooked Lake Union and the city skyline.

Edith Macefield House

Love this.  I just wish someone got an interview with her before she passed, I wonder what she'd have to say about all this, and what her actual motivations were.

Also, very cool to see non-content companies (Cafe Vita) funding well produced content.

86-year old Seattle woman refuses to give up her home for $1M and inspires an army of supporters. Watch "Legend of Edith Macefield," the first chapter of STEADFAST presented by Caffe Vita. http://www.wearesteadfast.com

Project V Distillery

I love everything about this.  Video by Visual Contact

Project V Distillery began speakeasy style with a small still in Mo Heck’s garage. The code name for the project was “Project V”— for vodka. “It kinda got outta hand,” says Mo. “We would show up at parties and our booze would get there before us.” Two years ago they went legit and are now making some of the finest handcrafted vodka in the Seattle region.

This is the first in a series of short films we’re making about local, handcrafted goods produced in the Seattle area.
