Busy

CHS-V CHS-V

All of a sudden this week I have more work than I know what to do with!  On Tuesday I shot an interview for FLYP Media, with a color consultant out on Bainbridge Island.  It was kind of interesting I guess, the interviewer was in New York, asking questions over speaker phone.  Of course I forgot my tripod, so I ended up setting my camera on a stack of books, way to go me. I'll post a link once the video is online.

Also on Tuesday I went out and shot a couple of interviews for my web series that I'm starting, CHS-V, for the Capitol Hill Seattle blog.  Follow the link to read up on it.  This should be a good opportunity for me to get my name out there, and hopefully do some good for the neighborhood while I'm at it.  Although it's kind of bad timing that I finally decide to start it... and then I'm flooded with actual paying work, but I'm not complaining.

The Order

shooting The Order in the freezing cold shooting The Order in the freezing cold

This isn't new, but here's a link to a trailer for The Order that I worked on a while back up in Bellingham.  It was directed by Lars Simkins, the VFX guy for Handcrank Films up there in bham.  Also check out the top video here, which has some before/ after green screen stuff (at about half way through) so you can see what we actually shot vs. how it looks after Lars worked his magic on it.

If you're wondering where you can see the feature, you're out of luck.  We only shot the trailer.

Here we go

Ok the blog is up!  If you're reading this you probably know me, and are probably wondering why I of all people would have a blog.  Well my plan is to use this to keep you all updated on my attempt at a freelance videographer career, and whatever else I have going on in my life.  Doing this kind of work I see, hear and learn about lots of random but interesting stuff, so the topics will probably also be random but (hopefully) interesting.
